Team One was: Keith Heuss, Butch Fralia, and Sharon Mastbrook. First ting Saturday, Butch and Keith spent some time at the river office talking to park rangers about doing a documentary video on the cave and karst research project at the park. Next we spent a couple of hours in the Lively Pasture putting corn meal on fire ant mounds in an effort to see if this treatment helped get rid of them. Later in the day, we drove down to the conference center and talked to Cory about the video.

Total work hours were 5 hours.

Travel time for Butch and Sharon is 14 hours and travel time for Keith is 5 hours.

This makes a grand total of 24 volunteer hours.

Team Two was Mark and Marshall Gee, and Ben Kim. They headed off to the other side of the river to survey CB22 Sangria Cave. They found CB24 as well, getting GPS locations for it as well as CB22. CB24 will need a small caver to work in it. They continued to Sangria Cave and proceeded to start and finish the survey of this small cave. They left a possible dig lead in the south end of the cave, noticed some cave crickets and headed back to camp.

Team Four was Dale Barnard, Eddie Baker, Terry Holsinger, Jason Rogers, and Charity Rodgers. This team spent a couple of hours working on the Back Country Trail, improving the cairns and making sure the route was improved for easier travel and maintenance. After a few hours the worsening weather caused most of the team to leave the park till next trip.

Field Hours: 20

Total travel hours: 20

Total Hours: 40

Team Five was Paul and Brian Trowbridge, and Sara Baker. They headed across the river to see about finding more caves. They spent a number of hours re-finding caves that had already been found. Next trip they plan on moving further away from were everyone has already looked, in hopes of finding more caves.

Field Hours: 15

Travel Hours: 10

Total Hours: 25

All in all the trip went well but the bad weather tended to keep the number of participants low and almost everyone headed home after the work on Saturday.
