 A small group of set out on what started out as a warm Saturday morning to overland survey from Big Frog Cave to Dale's Birthday Cave. We started out around 10:30 A.M. with a cold front coming in that was supposed to not come in until Sunday. We began at Big Frog by finding a best route to Dale's Birthday Cave. We began the survey at Big Frog with the weather getting colder as we continued. At about 1:00 P.M., we were just past half way to the cave and the weather was getting quite cold. It began to mist on us so we decided to call it quits. We were all quite cold by now and the threat of wet and cold was the last straw. We erected a rock karen at our last station and we headed back to camp. At camp, we decided the weekend was not going to get any better so we packed up and drove to San Saba to eat an early dinner or a late lunch.
